About Me

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, I gained a greater interest in the beauty world. I built this business to explore my passion for cosmetics. Even though I still work in the education field, I have a passion for makeup products.

I have spent the last couple of years learning everything there is to know about the beauty industry. I'm now applying this knowledge, to my new business.

A small note on my personal life.  I'm currently an army wife of many years and a mother of five with four grandchildren. I also grew up as a military brat. My father served 20 years in the Army.  So ,traveling is something I love to do. My goal is to not only make you look great but to make you feel fabulous!

As a child I always carried a purse full of lip gloss and wore false fingernails. My grandmother(Ella Mae Lee)kept a dresser full of these products all the time. Of course ,I was melding with her belongings. "God bless her soul'. After years went by, I did a lot of research of how to start my own makeup line. In September 2017, my dream came true. I was overly excited to launch my first product. That product was matte lip gloss.

The name Blak Paint  was thought of by my mother, Jeannette Martin. I sat down and decided to involve my grandchildren in my business. With that being said......I wanted to use the first letter of all my grandchildren first name. My mother Jeannette Martin said to me........"You should call your Business "BLAK" ! Since "paint" has lots of colors...I decided to name it "BLAK PAINT". Bentley, Londyn, Amir & KeShawn. There you have it folks.
